Memorial/Living Testimonial PlantingRecognize friends and relatives with a special gift. An extraordinary way to remember an individual, celebrate a special accomplishment or milestone in an individual’s life, or as a gift for the individual who “has everything”. The Memorial or Living Testimonial tree can have an important place in the hearts of all people involved in the planting. Since some trees planted can have a life measured in decades, if not centuries, the planting can have an important place among your family and friends for generations to come. In past Memorial or Living Testimonial tree plantings, individual or group donors have often chosen to participate in the plantings. The presentation of the tree by the donor is almost always an emotional event that is valued by the recipient and the donors alike. We encourage participation by the donors, although we can plant the tree without donor participation. For either a Memorial Tree Planting or Living Testimonial Tree Planting, the Foundation will coordinate with the City of Modesto and the donor to find an appropriate tree species, planting area and date. We will prepare the planting site, dig the hole, deliver the tree to the planting site and provide all necessary tools and materials. A certificate to commemorate the event will also be provided.
