Trees For TotsA joint effort between the Greater Modesto Tree Foundation, Californai ReLeaf, Stanislaus County, and the City of Modesto, the Trees for Tots annual planting projects have resulted in over 4,000 trees planted in the Dry Creek Regional Park Riparian Basin. The program plants new trees to honor the children born from 1999 to 2004. Tree for Tots will continue with smaller annual plantings and with individual planting sponsored by those wishing to honor their newborns. There are some grant funds availableIf you have had a new addition to your family during the year, honor your newborn with a tree that will last for generations to come. Families that have participated in prior Trees for Tots plantings have frequently come back in a later year to plant trees for new additions or for other children in their family. We encourage participation in many ways. As a participant, as a volunteer, or as a corporate or business sponsor. . For Trees for Tots, the Foundation will coordinate with the City of Modesto to find an appropriate tree and planting area.
